Ductile Iron Casting is a process of pouring molten iron into a sand mold to produce components. We use special alloys to produce ductile iron in order to manufacture components with high strength-to-weight ratios for driveline, chassis and suspension applications that require the ability to bend under extreme conditions.
SiboDur® is an ultra-high-strength ductile iron with a unique chemistry. Parts made from this innovative alloy compete favorably against lighter metals in structural applications given the unique strength-to-weight characteristics that can be achieved through smaller designs with reduced weight. SiboDur® is a trademark of George Fischer.
