Forged Powder Metallurgy

Forged Powder Metallurgy is a three-step process that requires compacting metal powder into a closed die, followed by sintering, and lastly, a final forging step provides shaping to the component and improves the densification and strength. This process creates a stronger, lighter forging by utilizing designs that can be achieved only with the powder metallurgy process, most often used in engine applications.
